Shared tags and one-click jump from a chat to its lead

Tag a person once and see the same tag in Chats and Leads. Filter the inbox by tag, and open the exact lead behind any conversation.

A reply arrives in the inbox. You want to know which list the person came from, and mark them as "Interested" so your colleague sees it too. That used to mean two screens and two separate notes.

Now the inbox and the lead lists share one set of tags, and every conversation links to its lead.

What changed

  • One tag, two places. A tag belongs to the person, not to a single chat or row. Tag someone in Chats and the same tag shows on their lead record. If the same person sits in two of your lists, both rows show it.
  • Tag folders in the inbox. The top of the chat list now has All, Unread and your tags as folders. Pick one to filter the list. You can combine it with the account and name filters.
  • Tag filter in Leads. Lead lists have the same tags in the filter bar. Selecting several tags shows leads that have any of them.
  • Open lead. In the contact card next to a conversation, "Open lead" takes you to the matching lead and opens its details.
  • A catalog in Settings. Admins create, rename, recolor and delete tags under Settings, Tags. Deleting asks for confirmation and removes the tag everywhere in the workspace.

Any member can create a tag from Chats or Leads and apply it. Colors come from a fixed palette that stays readable.

Limits

  • A workspace can hold up to 100 tags. A tag name can be 40 characters long, and one person can carry up to 20 tags.
  • Tags are for your team only. They are not sent to LinkedIn.
  • Tags are applied by hand. There is no automatic tagging by sentiment or campaign events.
  • "Open lead" appears only when the conversation matches a lead in your workspace. Group chats and unknown contacts do not show it.
  • Tags are not part of the public API yet.

How to try it

The demo opens on Chats with sample conversations. Look at the tag folders above the list, then tag a conversation from its contact card. Settings is hidden in the demo, so the tag catalog is not there.
